The session illustrated how an initial accounts receivable agent could fetch basic customer payment history, but the real breakthrough came in extending its functionality.
Using Joule Studio and SAP Build, developers can now easily extend ready-to-use Joule agents. The process involves creating a new project, adding the accounts receivable agent from a library, and then integrating new 'tools' – essentially custom capabilities. For instance, the demo showed how to add a document outlining an order handling policy and, critically, a custom Joule capability to fetch live currency exchange rates. The enhanced agent was then put to the test.
